Frozen Rats

I ordered frozen rats from Jozi Bugs because I had previously ordered some things from them and I was satisfied with the quality. The rats were packed neatly with ice packs and arrived perfectly frozen despite having travelled all the way from Joburg to Barberton. I will definitely purchase all frozen feeders here from now on.

I'm very impressed. I ordered rats online as we have no frozen rats close to us. I was stressed for two days because after I ordered I realised that we are not in the major town, so the overnight would not be possible. Luckily Jozi Bugs realised this before me and packed few extra ziplocks bags with frozen gel. No extra charges. I received the rats still frozen. I've found that Jozi bugs is honestly the best place to buy frozen rats for snakes in Gauteng. The rats are always of great quality and are nice and clean. The delivery process always goes smoothly and there are great efforts taken to keep the rats frozen during transport.

I've also found that they always have stock, where other suppliers are almost always out of stock. So I would 100% recommend Jozi bugs and their products if your looking for frozen feed for reptiles.

I'll keep it simple - I'm satisfied with my order and would order again. My BP is extremely fussy and she took the first 2 rats from Jozi with no issue.

Some critical feedback: I live quite far away (Eastern Cape) and the rats arrived completely thawed - like I took them out the fridge. Some ice packs were still frozen inside the box so I assume the packing method needs some work rather than more ice. They do also noticeably stink - I definitely have to turn my nose away during handling, this could be due to the defrosting.

This is the 3rd time I ordered from Jozi Bugs. The service from Jozi Bugs is excellent. However on this occasion the courier service was extremely bad in that they did not deliver overnight. I only received the "frozen" rats a week later. The rats buy thus time we're rotten and had to be discarded

My snakes look a lot healthier than before, much more active and picking up weight. Looking forward to the next order.
