Red wiggler worms (Eisenia foetida) are two products in one. For animal keepers they're a soft, wriggling, high-protein feeder that large freshwater fish, frogs, newts, axolotls and turtles find irresistible. For gardeners they're the world's most popular composting worm — the engine of any worm farm.
As a feeder
- Soft-bodied and easy to digest — no chitin at all

As composting worms
Red wigglers eat roughly half their body weight in kitchen scraps daily and turn it into premium worm castings — one of the best organic fertilizers there is. Keeping them healthy
Keep them in moist (never wet) bedding such as shredded cardboard or coco peat, out of direct sun, at 15–25°C. Feed vegetable scraps, avoiding citrus, onion and meat.
